Ghanteswari Temple:-Situated at 35 kms from Sambalpur town this temple is very popular among the locals as well as tourists. As the name of the temple suggests, there are innumerable bells of various shapes and sizes that one can find in this temple.It is believed that sailors who used to travel via th place where the temple is located, would hear sounds of bells. It was then that the temple was built and Goddess Ghanteswari is worshipped here ever since.

Leaning Temple At Huma:-Huma is home to the famous leaning temple dedicated to Lord Bimaleswar,situated about 32km from Sambalpur, on the bank of the Mahanadi river, it offers tourists a beautiful view of the surroundings.

Nrusinghanath Temple:-Located in the sacred Gangadhamardan Hills, which acording to legends, Hanuman carried his shoulders from the Himalayas as described in the ancient epic Ramayana,its an important piligrimage site.The present temple loacted  at the source of the Papaharini stream is a 14th century structure built on a more ancient site. eh site of the temple is unique stone steps wind up the hillside behind the temple, leading past a waterfall, and eventually curving under the falls to a spot where some beautiful and very well preserved releif structures are found.

Nrusinghanath Falls:-On the northern slopes of the Gandhamardan hills is the temple of Nrusimhanath located 165 km from Sambalpur. A murmuring rivulet engirdles the shrine forming various waterfalls at different stages. Bhimadhar, Gadadhar, Guptadhar, Pitrudhar, Kapiladhar and Chaladhar are picturesque waterfalls at Nrusimhanath.

Pradhanpat Waterfalls:-The Pradhanpat hill, with its picturesque waterfall, offers a rare scenic beauty. These falls are close to Deogarh, and are around 100 km from Sambalpur.

Hirakud Dam:-The hirakud Dam is one of the longest Dams in the world. Hirakud stands in its majesty across the great river  Mahanadi, which drains an area of 1,33,090 sq. kms. More than twice the area of SriLanka, this place is 16 kms away from Sambalpur. The bulk of this Dam contains earth, concrete and masonry materials, sufficient to Kashmir and Amgitsar to Dibrugarh in Assam. The reservoir forms the largest artificial lake in Asia with an area of 746 sq. kms having a shore line of over 640 kms. A 21 km. drive on the dyke affords a unique experience amidst the calm and peaceful envirous. Here, one can enjoy the sight of the Hirakud Dam and the fantastic expanse of water from the top of the revolving minar called Gandhi Minar on the Dam called Nehru Minar.
